Create New Neural Pathways in Your Brain

The latest research shows that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective tool in combating Anxiety. In this course, you will learn specific CBT techniques that will help you stop regretting the PAST, dreading the FUTURE and feel comfortable in the PRESENT. As you master the techniques in this course you will create new neural pathways in your brain… that’s right, A NEW BRAIN!

This course will help you physically change how your brain operates by creating habits and intentions in tandem toward a shared goal: Coping with and combating feelings of Anxiety.

Content and Overview

With this course, I’ve distilled hours of experience working with clients down to 29 lectures that cover the nature of Anxiety and why you are suffering from these feelings. What role does Anxiety play in your life? How do you identify and own your feelings? You’ll learn to “consciously” use your body to “unconsciously” calm your mind. You’ll discover – and really believe – you have a choice when it comes to reacting to negative events or anticipating the future.

This course will teach you specific tools that you can use over and over again to combat the negative effects of Anxiety. You’ll learn to face the future with hope and joy. You’ll uncover levels of gratitude for yourself, and discover increased closeness and intimacy with loved ones. Each short video has a real-world “homework” assignment that should take about a week to complete.

About Instructor

Louisa Link-McDowell

Louisa Link-McDowell is a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC). She received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Brigham Young University. While she was working for a rural, non-profit community center she had a profound insight:

“I met people who’d been suffering from the effects of sexual abuse for years—simply because they didn’t have access to traditional therapy. In a small town where you know everyone and everyone knows you, no one wants to talk about mental health and abuse. Another barrier was the time commitment and cost of therapy. People were suffering and nothing was going to change. I thought, ‘This is a universal problem—there must be better way for people to take that first step.'

In addition to her work as a therapist, Louisa has been advising Fortune 500 companies and major healthcare organizations for the past 25 years.

She is dedicated to helping people achieve greater well-being and improved mental health. Clients appreciate her calm, upbeat approach. As a therapist, she has a style that is inclusive and motivating. She enjoys running with her dog and volunteering in her community.
